Teaching Position 2025

Teacher: Intersen Phase (Grade 4-7)

To provide quality education to learners in Grades 4-7, ensuring the effective implementation of the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS) aligned with the South African Council for Educators (SACE) professional teaching standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Learning:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of learners.
  • Create a positive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Assess learner progress regularly and provide timely feedback.
  • Prepare learners for formal assessments.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies and resources.

Curriculum Implementation:

  • Adhere to the CAPS curriculum guidelines.
  • Develop and implement relevant teaching materials.
  • Participate in curriculum planning and development.
  • Stay updated on educational trends and best practices.

Learner Support:

  • Identify and address the learning needs of individual learners.
  • Provide support and guidance to learners.
  • Foster positive relationships with learners and parents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support learner progress.

Professional Development:

  • Actively engage in professional development opportunities.
  • Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions.
  • Reflect on teaching practices and seek continuous improvement.

Administrative Duties:

  • Complete administrative tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain accurate records of learner progress and attendance.
  • Contribute to school improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., PGCE)
  • SACE registration
  • Experience in teaching the Intermediate Phase (Grades 4-7)
  • Strong understanding of the CAPS curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in using technology in education
